I bought this tool box for radio controlled cars, planes and helicopters. It's been nearly perfect, with very customizable configurations for storing all the big and small parts.I bought some extra stowaway organizer boxes which fit inside the main toolbox and simply swap them out when needed. I can keep each model and supplies in its own box and take only what I need. Plano also very quickly sent me free additional organizer tabs for the boxes in response to my emailed request.The toolbox is very well made and sturdy. The latches and hinges appear to be strong and have held up to frequent use. The stowaway organizer boxes fit well inside and slide in and out easily. The lids on the stowaway boxes latch tightly and nothing has ever fallen out.

This is a great little organizer for hobby materials such as modeling, paints, small tools, beads, etc. The trays are customizable up to a point. There are set dividers in each one, but you can further sub-divide as much as you want. If you have really long tools that need the width of the tool box to fit in the trays, this is not the organizer for you. Otherwise, it's sturdy and works, what more can you ask for?

Over the years Plano has packaged their plastic utility boxes in a wide variety of housing for the fishing enthusiast and handyman. This particular tool box is OK as long as one accepts its limitations in terms of both size and durability. This configuration holds three utility boxes of two different sizes with various dividers. Two boxes are deeper than the third. There is also an undivided top compartment for larger items. The main weakness here is the front cover which is thin, flexible and feels flimsy. The latches and hinges for this cover are also all plastic. If you need to store heavyweight items and access the contents on a daily basis, I would look for something more heavy duty.

This is a great organizer and helps me keep all my tools and electronics organized neatly!I've given it 4 stars because its finish isn't exactly great, and at some places it feels like a sloppy work of plastic-ware. But functionally its a great organizer.

I bought this box to store my e-cigarette supplies which it does superbly.My only caveat is I think you should be able to slide the swing down front door under the box when it is open. It wouldn't be too hard to redesign and would be safer. The way it is now the door hangs out 9" or so and I can easily imagine it getting caught in something in an unthinking moment.

I've owned one of these for a couple of years now and don't have many complaints. The top storage lid is quite spacious and I've been able to fit a daylight lamp in with other smaller items with no hassle. The first tray is rather shallow with three dividers; two create narrow partitions and the last creates a wide partition. There are tabs included which allow you to separate the partitions into little boxes, which I found to be very helpful in keeping things separated. The first deep box also has three dividers of equal width. Unfortunately, there is no way to be able to include the tabs to create little boxes. No matter - this box holds a lot of paint. The second deep box is the one that has some problems for me, although for other people it may be just fine. It is an open box, with grooves in the base to signify partitions as opposed to actual dividers. I didn't drop the star for this fact, as I recognise that some people may really like having an open box. As I use the boxes to store paint upright, it's very inconvenient for me. Finally, the case itself isn't too bad. The lid locks tight and I feel comfortable carrying it around everywhere without worrying it will drop. The only issue is the front grate that holds the boxes in. It only attaches through little latch clips, which aren't very sturdy, and every once in a while I'll pick up the box, brush against the grate, and the thing pops open and I have to struggle to get all the boxes back in and locked up tight. As a storage piece, it gets full approval.

I have five basic sets of tools in my home, carpentry, plumbing, yard, mechanic and computer building tools. I don't want to put the small and expensive computer tools in with the heavy wrenches and hammers. Computer tools don't sound like a lot but when the Plano case is full it weighs 21 pounds. I have everything from a power supply tester and a digital multi-meter to specialty small screwdrivers, star drives, nut drivers, very small pliers and cutters. I even carry CPU heat sink compound and micrometers. The list of items would be several pages long.I like the three trays to hold the small tools and I store English and metric screws and washers for quick access to use during building projects. It is the perfect size case to carry everything I need in one kit and it is easy access to get to what I want to use. It is nice to be organized. The top compartment is large enough to hold the larger tools and rolls of shrink tubing and the micrometer in a small case.I have it heavily loaded at a total weight of 21 pounds but after 1 year I still have not broken it and I love everything being in the right place. If I am going to work on a computer I have one kit to grab and take with me. I recommend this Plano box as a small tool kit, just don't over load it.

I bought this to store my beading tools and supplies. It works great. I just wish I could find something with clear plastic for storing beads in this type of product. This is well made, easy to use and is lightweight. I would buy again.

While it is a bit smaller than I expected, it works great for storing all my Pex plumbing parts, which are heavy (made of brass). Holds up well..

As a builder of small electronic devices I have a lot of small tools and a collection of meters that I use regularly. With a place for the meters in the top bay and pull out covered drawers with movable dividers for the tools I got the perfect toolbox. In spite of plastic construction the toolbox is ruggedly built with firmly closing latches. While my use of this toolbox leaves it mostly on my workbench, I have no doubt that it would travel well. It's a perfect size and easily carried. The price was surprisingly low for the value it offers leaving me feeling really good about my decision to buy it..
